Biography

Eric Henry Sanders's plays and films include: Play with Time; Maybe, Probably; Recently, Long Ago; Reservoir; The Heliopause, and many others. His writing has been produced and developed in some of the most recognized theatres across the US and internationally, including The Brooklyn Academy of Music, The New Group (NY), Primary Stages (NY), Cherry Lane Alternative (NY), The Drilling Company (NY), Company One (Boston), Goodman Theatre (Chicago), Victory Gardens Theatre (Chicago), Florida Repertory Theatre (Fort Myers), Old Red Lion Theatre (London), Union Theatre (London), and Theatre89 (Berlin). Awards include: Standing Ovation Award Nominee, the Artist Fellowship in Playwriting from the Massachusetts Cultural Council, and the Edward Poole Lay Fellowship in Playwriting from Amherst College. A Brooklyn native, he teaches screenwriting at Amherst College (Amherst, MA) and narrative and screenwriting at Hampshire College (Amherst, MA). He is a member of the Dramatists Guild, where he sits on the Best Practices Committee.
